Lacy reveals cameraman Drew makes nearly $25k a month

Twitch streamer and FaZe Clan member Lacy, whose real name is Nicholas Stewart, revealed on a recent stream that his longtime cameraman and assistant Drew Wall now earns nearly $25,000 per month.

Lacy broke down the pay progression over the years as Wall's responsibilities grew well beyond operating a camera. According to clips from the stream circulating online, the base salary started at $3,000 a month in 2023, rose to $5,000 in 2024, $7,000 in 2025, and reached a $10,000 base in 2026.

On top of the base, Lacy said Wall receives a percentage of Snapchat revenue, estimated in one breakdown at around $5,000 monthly, plus income from Wall's own Twitch streams that he runs after Lacy goes offline, putting that at roughly $5,000 to $7,000 a month. Side hustles add another $1,000 to $2,000, bringing the total estimate to $20,000 to $30,000 per month, or nearly $25,000 on average.

In one clip, Lacy stated: "Imagine being a cameraman and you get paid 10k a month. Then you make another 5k a month from getting 30% of my Snapchat. And now you're making another 5 to 7k a month off Twitch cuz you go live after I go live. So now you're making around 20 to 22,000 dollars a month as a cameraman. Not to mention small little side hustles that you're probably making 1 to 2k a month off of. So Drew's probably making 25 to 30k a month."

Lacy emphasized that Wall did not start at the higher figures. The role expanded to include assistant duties, production work, and more over time. He noted that a new cameraman should not expect tens of thousands right away. "You don’t just start at $20,000 a month as a cameraman, that’s not how that works," he said in related comments.

The discussion came amid broader talk in the streaming community about cameraman pay and expectations, including a recent situation involving streamer DDG and his cameraman. Lacy used the moment to highlight the multi-year buildup and the expanded duties that justified the compensation package, which has also included benefits like free rent and food in earlier arrangements.

Drew Wall, who is in his early 20s and has been with Lacy for years, also streams independently and has been featured in Lacy's content, including during events like Streamer University where Lacy previously awarded him a $5,000 bonus for intensive work. Wall has been described by Lacy as handling far more than traditional camera operation.

Lacy, who streams on Twitch under the name Lacy with millions of followers and focuses on IRL, reactions, and collaborations, has built a significant operation that supports such staff compensation. Clips of the salary reveal quickly spread across X, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, drawing reactions from other creators and viewers about creator economy pay scales.

The numbers reflect Lacy's estimates shared on stream and have not been independently audited. Wall has not issued a public statement on the figures in available reports.
