IShowSpeed and Kai Cenat drop Minecraft Hardcore marathon trailer
IShowSpeed and Kai Cenat released a trailer for their Minecraft Hardcore stream starting August 7, requiring them to beat all major bosses.
YouTube streamer IShowSpeed and Twitch streamer Kai Cenat have released a trailer announcing their upcoming Minecraft Hardcore marathon stream.
IShowSpeed posted the trailer on X on August 5, stating it would be "MINECRAFT HARDCORE… ALL BOSSES with @KaiCenat" and confirming it goes live August 7 at 5 p.m. EST.
Kai Cenat shared a matching trailer post moments earlier, writing that the pair "Can’t get off until we BEAT Wither, Warden, Elder Guardian & Ender Dragon ON HARDCORE."
The rules require the duo to remain live continuously in hardcore mode until they defeat those four bosses. Hardcore mode means a single death resets the world and forces a full restart.
This follows their 2024 collaboration in which they streamed until they beat the Ender Dragon. That run lasted more than 105 hours across roughly five days and involved 42 in-game deaths.
They broadcast simultaneously from the same house, which was decorated to resemble the game, with Kai Cenat on Twitch and IShowSpeed on YouTube. The event generated over 18.8 million hours watched combined, outpacing several major esports tournaments including LCS Spring 2024 by a significant margin, according to Streams Charts. Peak concurrent viewership hit over 381,000 on Kai Cenat’s channel and more than 351,000 on IShowSpeed’s.
TMZ and other outlets covered the 2024 finish, noting the pair’s emotional reaction after finally slaying the dragon around 2 a.m.
The new challenge expands the win condition beyond the Ender Dragon to include the Wither, Warden, and Elder Guardian, raising the difficulty and potential length. Some reports have speculated the stream could stretch for many days given the added bosses and hardcore resets.
IShowSpeed linked a YouTube live page alongside his trailer post. The pair have collaborated successfully before, including a shorter Chained Together stream that wrapped in under 12 hours.
Fans immediately began circulating the trailer clips, highlighting the escalated stakes compared to the original marathon that became one of the biggest streaming events of 2024.
